Colaborar por la Cultura - Collaboraring for Culture

La colaboración entre los que tenemos un mismo objetivo siempre me ha parecido beneficiosa para todos y si el objetivo es promover la cultura, más que beneficiosa se hace necesaria.

Galerie Artemis ha colaborado con diversos grupos. Siempre en pro de esa difusión de la cultura en Second Life y con el soporte de fb como medio publicitario de dichas actividades.

 Ahora se suma a ese proyecto el grupo Tanalois. Nuestra intención es que sea un apoyo de ambos grupos al objetivo común de difundir la cultura que se trabaja en Second Life.

 The collaboration between those who have the same goals always seems to me beneficial for all and if the goal is to promote culture, more than beneficial it is something imperative.

 Artemis Gallery have been collaborating with several groups. Always working for the diffusion of the culture in Second Life and using Facebook as media to promote such activities.

 Now the Tanalois group is united with us in this project. Our intention is that it serves as support for both groups in their shared goal of disseminating the culture being created in Second Life.

Para Jadeyu ha sido un reto hacer este trabajo. Pero el resultado ha sido inmejorable. Ha sabido encontrar el fondo de esa historia narrada en imágenes por Karima Hoisan y Nathascha Randt; crear la atmósfera sensual y con ritmo que transmite. Y sin embargo ha sido fiel a su forma de trabajar. Eso solo saben hacerlo los grandes artistas.Jade lo es. Visitando su sim se puede comprobar.

Desde aquí quiero agradecer a las tres, Jadeyu, Karima y Nathascha, que hayan confiando en mí. Jadeyu no conocía a Karima y Nathascha y fue idea mía este trabajo en cierta manera conjunto. El resultado? Asombroso y de una belleza difícil de describir.

This work was very difficult for Jadeyu. But the result has been memorable. She was able to find the core of this story narrated with images by Karina Hoisan and Nathascha Randt, creating the sensuous atmosphere and the rhythm that it transmits. No doubt she was faithfull to her way of working. Only the great artists are able to do that. Jade is one of them. You can confirm it visiting her sim.

I want to thank all of them, Jadeyu, Karima and Nathascha, who trusted me. Jadeyu didn't know Karima and Nathascha and it was my idea to reunite them for a kind of joint work. The result? Amazing and its beauty is hard to describe.

Using beauty to say NO to injustice

I've seen a street with very poor people, the narration of a massacre, an underground station with its beggars, a whole sim with a Shakespeare drama, all installations of Nino Vichan. Now a drone in Galerie Artemis. They seem, described like this, to have no connection between them. But they have. Nino, in addition of knowing know how to work with all the resources offered by SL is a man who, with his creations, shouts before a society that seems impassive to their miseries: poverty, violence, injustice, power, greed.

Each artist uses art in a different way. But his art reaches deep inside the spectator, even those with little sensitivity.

I am never objective with the artists who exhibited at Artemis, and I know, and it is simply because if they are there is because their work touches me personally. Little more I can say. Only that to plunge into the world of Nino Vichan is fascinating because he knows how to use beauty to say NO to what everybody should refuse.

I would like to thank  you for wanting to share its opening night with Ultraviolet Alter, someone who reveals his sensitivity over and over again in her concerts.

Two sensitive artists united in a single night. Extraordinary, don't you think? Again, thank you both.

Last December 5th  the Italian artist Nino Vichan presented his new work, W e A nnihilate R emotely, about how high technology has been used for war and the moral implications of it. Dahir Sapphire have registered this moment and the concert which followed with the performancer Ultraviolet.

Group morality develops from shared concepts and beliefs and is often codified to regulate behavior within a culture or community.
Various defined actions come to be called moral or immoral.
Individuals who choose moral action are popularly held to posses "moral fiber", whereas those who indulge in immoral behavior may be labeled as socially degenerate.

Political Morality is also relevant to the behavior internationally of national governments, and to the support they receive from their host population.

Society declares that it is moral to: Sit in front of a computer screen, enter location coordinates and push a button that commands a robot drone to launch a rocket that will annihilate a target half way around the world.

Opening Night at Artemis: Regaining Freedom

November 19 was the opening night of Regaining Freedom, an installation of Kicca Igaly about the violence against women, part of a serie of events on Second Life that tries to raise the awarenes about this issue.  The opening was a huge success with more than 100 avatars attending it. The work by Kicca Igaly serves as the hall for the presentation of eight machinimas by different artists who offered their personal vision about the theme.
